Look no further!
Hi! My name is Nicole Lamb, Creative Director of Dance at Your Doorstep and I want to bring the dance studio to you! All you need is a 4x4 floor in your home where you can dance to salsa music, with or without a partner!
My Niche is….
- Beginner Salsa Lessons – Depending on the location of your choice, how many lessons you would like, and depending if you want to do group lessons or private lessons, cost can range from $25 to $100 each lesson.
Lessons will always have an element about the timing of music, a focus on weight transfer and how you are connecting with the partner you are dancing with. With a lot of practice, it will only be a matter of time, that you will become a technical, experienced, creative and expressive dancer.
Services I provide for groups are listed here:
Beginner Salsa 4 – LA Style – Turn patterns and Technique Series
Advanced Beginner 2 – LA Style
Advanced Beginner 3 – LA Style
Advanced Beginner 4 – LA Style
Introduction to Salsa on 2 – New York Style
2. PRIVATE LESSONS (Your own partner/me)
No commitment or mandatory package buying. That being said, it is always recommended to purchase lessons close to one another so your can maintain momentum on your progress.
Lessons are now being offered at 624 Upper James Street or 126 James Street North but of course, I want to make it convenient for you at YOUR home/choice of location.

Feedback
So during classes, I usually tell you to keep dancing and I like to watch what is going on, not to make you feel uncomfortable but to make sure I am doing my job well enough for you to understand my concepts. It helps me become a better teacher and I like pointing out what you are doing right!
Follow Up
After the last class, a very brief questionnaire is given on your experience with the class. I would like to continue what I am doing right and get ideas of how to make the class better.

If it’s your 1st, a lot of frustration, but that is ok, we will wait for you.
What I teach are salsa basic step tutorials with an energetic and blubbly perspective on things. I will be your personal trainer who guides you through your dancing journey.
I can make you laugh and not take yourself no seriously. I will get you to start thinking positively with my silly ‘mantras’ and will introduce you to music that literally wakes up the hairs of your ears! You will WANT to move!
I also will have kind constructive criticism when applicable and will encourage you to challenge yourself.
I do not leave any student behind!
I will inspire you to dance with your entire body!
I can provide a safe and non-judgmental environment.
I can put you at ease.
A reminder call/text (your choice) about your lesson that day!
Competitive rates!
Great question! You do not believe that dancing is a key component to maintaining your health
You like to complain about your dancing capabilities instead of embracing the process.
You don’t appreciate keeping your zoom camera on or do not appreciate the feedback or showing your dancing.
You already have expectations of this course.
You are obsessed with being perfect.
You won’t take the time to practice in-between lessons (but expect results)
Salsa for me was a step forward to bigger and more pivotal things in my life.
What stopped me from going to the gym did not stop me from getting up to do a salsa lesson.
Finding out the endorphins that dancing gave in 5 minutes versus lifting weights was something else!
Salsa gave me the academic mind again of learning something that I actually enjoyed, rather than reading a book.
I realized that being of service to others has so much reward, if not more than the benefits of dancing.
I am not getting any younger so continuing my journey with learning more salsa moves (stay tuned for future curriclulum) also connects my mind with my body, and maintaining my memory is very important to me.
Being in control of my body brings confidence.
My cardiovascular system immediately has been improved by dancing.
Finally, my mood, my feeling of importance and my life is made better with a routine of expressing myself without having to worry about other aspects of my life.
I enjoy spreading the history, the music and the movement of Salsa to you.
